Within the enterprise architecture discipline "architecture principle” is highly valued as an instrument to guide the design and realization of an integrated business IT solution or an enterprise or parts thereof. This open standard describes how to look at principles with Dragon1 and how architects can make effective use of this instrument for example in projects by creating and designing systems and to realize these systems.
In the current architecture profession a principle is generally seen as "a directional statement ". In Dragon1 there is fundamental change of years. In Dragon1 a principle is known as "the way things work retaining a certain outcome”.
In this open standard working with architecture principles is explained in detail. Dragon1 provides a bridge to switch from soft principles ("directional statements") to solid principles ("retained modes') which makes principles more measurable.
